Snow buoy

Since 2012, snow buoys have been used to measure snow thickness, atmospheric temperature and pressure over the sea ice.

Since 2012, snow buoys have been used to measure snow thickness, atmospheric temperature and pressure over the sea ice. Accordingly, they add to our understanding of the highly complex and heterogeneous snow cover on sea ice. Learn more about snow buoys here.
