Kleptoplasts
Algae chloroplasts.
Algae chloroplasts that are consumed by sea slugs (e.g. Elysia, Tridachia) with their food and sequestered inside their bodies. The chloroplasts remain photosynthetically active for a certain time, during which they provide their “host” with the products of photosynthesis.
