Gaussian (normal) distribution
The most commonly used distribution in statistics.
The most commonly used distribution in statistics. There tend to be more values near the mean, whereas their number declines, the further from the mean they are. As such, the Gaussian (normal) distribution describes the distribution for a random parameter X for which the graphic representation of the probability density function is a bell curve (normal distribution curve).
