Endemic
Refers to species that are only found in naturally demarcated geographic regions.
Species that are limited to or only native to a specific area or region. In connection with human health, the term can refer to a disease or pathogen that is currently or normally only found in a specific population or geographic region. In biology, the term is used for plants and animals only found in a specific, clearly demarcated habitat. In said habitat, they are endemic. This can involve species, genera or families of organisms that are exclusively native to certain islands, island chains, mountain ranges, valleys or waters.
