Biosphere
The entirety of the Earth that is home to lifeforms.
The part of the Earth system that encompasses all ecosystems and living organisms. The biosphere ranges from the soil on land, to the water, to the lower layers of the atmosphere. It is subdivided into individual ecosystems, e.g. forests, deserts and coastlines.
