The Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC) is a ring-shaped, cold ocean current flowing about the Antarctic. It encircles the Antarctic like a giant Möbius strip. Between 40 and 60 degrees South, it is the only current to connect the three oceans. Even in the Southern Summer, its water temperature remains near the freezing point.
