Over the past 18 months, we have fundamentally updated and refined our website. Have the changes made the Sea Ice Portal more intuitive, interactive and appealing? How do you personally like the new version? After the relaunch on 24 January 2023, in the course of which we updated the portal to the technological state of the art, completely overhauled the content, and redesigned the maps offered, this year we took a further step: in response to user input, we expanded the “Maps & Graphics” section with the new features “Interactive Graphics” and “Create Your Own Animation”. These new additions offer our users more appealing and individual options for exploring and visualising sea-ice data.
The portal now has a new look, new navigation, more (and more straightforward) background information, and new options for tailoring maps, graphics and animations to your own needs. Have the changes made the portal more intuitive and appealing? How do you personally like the new version?
