Mooring

A system used to secure measurement devices and sensors in the ocean

A system used to secure measurement devices and sensors in the ocean for collecting oceanographic data. It typically consists of an anchor weight on the seafloor, a line or cable, buoyancy elements, and various measuring instruments.
